VANCOUVER, BC, DECEMBER 2, 2020 -- iATS Payments by Deluxe is excited to announce the release of version 5.58 of Brickwork, the only Salesforce payment processing app exclusively for nonprofits.
Brickwork by iATS is a fully integrated, native Salesforce app that helps you save time and money by reducing manual data entry costs and streamlining your payment processes. With Brickwork, nonprofits can take donations from anywhere with secure online forms and offline virtual terminals and keep their donor database and transactions all in one convenient place.
This update offers four new features that enhance the convenience and productivity improvements offered to users:
- Ability for clients to save donor’s credit card information without a transaction.
- Ability to attribute a new online form transaction to a primary campaign on Salesforce.
- Ability to send any custom parameter via the post back URL or Hosted Aura link to Salesforce.
- Easier Batch Processing with customer code lookup feature.
Ability to save credit card information without associating with an opportunity or transaction.
Nonprofits could not save a donor’s payment information unless it was associated with a new or existing opportunity i.e., a new or existing donation record. Now, all Brickwork users can save a donor’s payment information without having to take a payment and without associating it with an opportunity. This means you can now capture a donor’s information for future use and/or for someone else to set up.

Ability to attribute a new online form transaction to a primary campaign on Salesforce.
With the improved integration between our online forms (Aura) and Salesforce, non-profits can now automate associating a donation to a primary campaign in Salesforce. Nonprofits now need to create just one donation form listing all their campaigns as a drop-down list menu. The donor can choose any one campaign they would like to support from the various options available. Once the donor makes their selection and processes the transaction successfully, it will be attributed in Salesforce to the campaign selected by the donor.
The major benefit of this feature is that now the fundraiser does not have to call the donor to find out which campaign they would like to support. Additionally, this makes it easier for a user’s accounting and revenue recognition team to allocate the donations to the correct campaigns and proceed according to their protocols.

Allow any custom parameter to be sent via the post back URL or Hosted Aura link.
Users of Brickwork and Aura could previously only pass back limited parameters from Aura to Salesforce using the Post Back URL.
In this update, new parameters have been added, which can now be easily passed back to Salesforce from Aura forms via the Post Back URL or also the Hosted Aura Link URL. The parameters added increase the flexibility of the type of information users would like to track.
This means you can now send personalized links to your donors and when they submit the form, it gets associated with the payment or opportunity that you wanted it to connect with. This is extremely beneficial if your organization accepts open pledges.
For example, if a donor pledges to donate $20,000 to your organization over the span of the next year but is not sure when they’ll be making the payment and how much they can pay at one time, their pledge will not be setup as a recurring payment schedule mainly because there is no schedule that has been selected.
Now, you can enter such donors into your Salesforce instance as a new opportunity. When the donor is ready to make all or part of the payment, you can instantly send them a personalized Aura link and associate the open pledge opportunity ID in the Aura form URL. When the donor uses the same link to process all or part of the donation, the transaction will automatically get associated with their existing open pledge.

Easier batch processing using an existing customer code.
Brickwork users using the Batch Processing feature would have to enter credit details for each donor again to process batch transactions.
In this update, a new lookup field for customer code has been added. This allows nonprofits to search a customer by their name and choose from their existing payment information by selecting existing customer codes. Users will not be required to enter credit card details again.
