Nonprofit Spotlight: CMHA Ride Don't Hide 2021

Jun 15, 2021

The pandemic has been ... challenging. Even for those of us who have had our health, kept our jobs, and our homes, it can still be anxiety inducing to manage the stress of the pandemic and, let's be frank, the state of the world at the moment. (pro tip: avoid the Twitter doom scrolling, it doesn't help).

Every year, 1.6 million Canadians don’t get the mental health care they need. The pandemic has only made things worse with isolation, economic insecurity and stress all taking their toll on our mental health.

ABOUT RIDE DON’T HIDE 2021

Ride Don’t Hide is the largest mental health bike ride in Canada. Over nine years, thousands of people have ridden millions of kilometers and raised millions of dollars for community mental health.

The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) is launching a revised version of Ride Don't Hide this year.

Ride Don't Hide 2021 is a 'choose your own adventure' style team event where you can pick the activity that suits you towards the overall goal.

In June 2021, thousands of riders across Canada will come together to ride outside, ride inside or ride in spirit to raise money for mental health in their own communities.

Every $330 raised helps the CMHA provide one more person the community mental health programs, services and support they need, when they need them.
