Think email is dead? Think again! Email marketing is still the most popular form of donor outreach, new research suggests. Econsultancy's Email Marketing Industry Census found revenue from email in 2013 increased 28 percent. In fact, 68 percent of respondents called email's return on investment either good or excellent last year - a 3 percent year-over-year increase. While pundits say social media will be the downfall of email, nonprofits can enhance their newsletters via social integration. It's best practice to include a social sharing and "donate now" button on the top of an email. Make it easy for your donors to give and watch the gift total increase.
